About Corpus Callosum
The corpus callosum is the connective tissue that relays signals between the left and right hemisphere of the brain and make it function as one entity. Each hemisphere has it’s own distinct “personality”. Right hemisphere takes care of the functions such as creativity, imagination and spirituality. The left hemisphere deals with language, order and logic.
In Anna MacKay-Smith’s humorous and touching play, Corpus Callosum, twins separated at a young age each have a personality that reflects the extreme of each hemisphere. What happens when their worlds collide? How do these clashing personalities find their way back to the synchronistic relationship they once had. Can they reconnect their corpus callosum after it has been severed for so many years?
