World Wide Short Film Festival 2012

The tickets will be on sale at Presents and the Roxy Box Office by end of August.

Mark your calendars now for this exciting 13th year of the “World Wide Shortfilm Festival” at the Roxy this fall on Wednesday October 3th, 2012.

All tickets are $25.00 each and include a full evening of film entertainment along with gourmet nibblies by “The Tin Mill” and complimentary beverages with the famous Roxy popcorn with “real” butter on top!! This evening is proud to be a part of the Annual Celebration of the Arts Festival with all funds raised going this year towards the ongoing volunteer efforts of the Roxy Kids in Action, a youth volunteer group who are celebrating their 16th year of performing acts of volunteerism in the community. Also, the Roxy Film Festival is proud to be premiering the winning film of the 2st Annual Youth Film Festival being held this September. So come out and meet the “Artists” behind the films along with supporting the youth of our community in their volunteer efforts. Once again, the Worldwide Short Film Festival out of Toronto will provide us with the “best of the best” of the short films from the International Worldwide Short Film Festival held in Toronto in June. For 13 years the fine folks at the Canadian Film Centre have been working with the Roxy Theatres to bring Canadian and International films to the forefront. There will be 2 programs of film in our line-up featuring award winners amongst the 10 films being screened. After each program there will be an opportunity to ask the people behind the camera and some in front of the camera, questions about how they do what they do. Ted Barris and Cathy Christoff will be emceeing each program.

So, mark your calendars now and don’t miss your opportunity to enjoy lots of films all for the price of one ticket!
